Small Groups are where we build relationships outside our Sunday morning experience. We encourage everyone to join a small group – you don’t have to attend The Bridge to join. Current Small Groups Curries & Conversations: Come and join the group leader on Zoom and learn how to make an authentic Indian curry. The session will last for one hour and will allow you to dedicate time to learn and enjoy the colors and aroma of some of the most popular Indian recipes. You will get the list of ingredients and the recipe beforehand! Meeting Time and Location: One Saturday a month, 12h30-13h30 on Zoom Photography Group: Do you enjoy taking pictures? Join us as we walk through Paris capturing its beauty. We will discover new beautiful places, learn a few photography techniques, and practice using our cameras efficiently. Bring camera and tripod (if you have one). Phone Photography is welcome too. Meeting Time and Location: Fridays, 19h30-21h30; Leader will contact the group by email for the location. Young Men’s Group: Are you in your 20s or 30s and wanting to build relationships with other guys your age? This is the group for you! Come discuss relationship-building and other relevant topics. Meeting Time and Location: Tuesdays, 19h30-21h15 in participants’ homes Bible Study Fellowship Groups: These are intensive study groups that have weekly homework and are equivalent to a Bible college education. This academic year, the groups will be studying 1 and 2 Chronicles and Kings, as well as many of the Old Testament prophets. Get a strong grasp of God’s Word. Join a BSF group. Meeting Time and Location: Men: Mondays 19h-20h45 Mondays on Zoom; Women: Mondays 19h-20h45 at the American Church of Paris; Tuesdays 10h-11h45 on Zoom. Hiking Group: The Hiking Group is an opportunity for people to come together to enjoy God’s creation. We go to parks, forests or natural areas in Ile de France. It’s a great way for people to get out of the stress of the city and into nature. It’s also a great way to get to know people better. If you are available one Saturday, don’t hesitate to join the hike! Hikes vary between 3 to 6 hours (or more). The venue will change each time depending on the host and the weather. Come enjoy the flavours of the nations and get to know each other and one another’s cultures. Meeting Time and Location: After the service the last Sunday of each month. University Students & Young Professionals: Join us for worship, prayer, Bible study and fun. Requirements: University students and young adults up to age 30 Ladies Bible Study Group : The group will be studying the book of Colossians with the help of a video series by Francis Chan. Meeting Time and Location: Wednesdays, 19h30 – 20h30 on Zoom Ladies Prayer Group: This group discusses prayer and prays! Meeting Time and Location: 1:30-2:30 p.m. on the 2nd and 4th Sundays in the Marquet Room of the Novotel after Sunday services. Saint-Germain-en-Laye Group: For residents of this city, this group discusses topics of interest from a biblical perspective. Meeting Time and Location: Once or twice a month on Saturdays, with a rotation of hosts among the city’s residents. Rueil-Malmaison Group: For residents of this city, this group discusses topics of interest from a biblical perspective. Meeting Time and Location: Once or twice a month on Saturdays, with a rotation of hosts among the city’s residents. Nanterre/La Défense Group: For anyone near Nanterre/La Défense, this group will do a discussion Bible study and is open to everyone, regardless of any previous knowledge of the Bible. Meeting Time and Location: Saturdays in participants’ homes. Paris Group: This group is for city residents who want to be strengthened by gathering together and looking at the Bible. Open to all. Meeting Time and Location: 7:30 p.m. Wednesdays in city residents’ homes. Chatou/Croissy Group: For residents of this city, this group discusses topics of interest from a biblical perspective. Meeting Time and Location: Once or twice a month on Saturdays, with a rotation of hosts among the city’s residents. Pre–Service Prayer Sundays, 10h15 to 10h30, Marquet Room Church-Wide Prayer Meeting Meet us at The Bridge Community Centre in Nanterre the first Friday night of each month at 19h to pray for our church, our city and our world. S.W.A.T. Unit Join our Spiritual Warfare Assistance Team and prayer walk in the Paris area in response to the requests from our attendees. This is where you can make a difference in people knowing Christ by serving alongside others to make our Sunday morning services happen. Spend the service with our smallest Bridge members, singing songs, blowing bubbles, and loving children as we teach them about Jesus. BridgeKids Team (age 3-11) If you love kids, BridgeKids might be right for you! Get ready to play games, sing, dance, and tell our children about the love of Jesus. Bridge Youth Team (age 11-17) This team builds the next generation through meaningful interaction, discussion, and Bible teaching relevant to young people. Welcome Table Team This team loves people and makes them feel at home at The Bridge. This team serves guests by answering questions and providing information at the Welcome Table. Creative Team This team uses their creative gifts to serve The Bridge! If you have experience as a photographer, video editor, or graphic designer, consider joining our creative team. Prayer Counselor Team This team prays with people after the worship service. It also meets for prayer at 10:50 before the service, and some members serve as ushers as well. Set-Up/Tear-Down Team This team facilitates the Sunday morning experience by setting up equipment before services and taking it down after services. Translation Team This team provides live translation into French during Sunday services. They may also assist with live translation in the children’s meetings. Worship Team This team prepares the way for our guests to encounter the presence of God through vocals and instruments. If you are a skilled musician or vocalist, consider joining the worship team.
